The Ohio Stereo Photographic Society

Invites you to participate

in the 2016 Ohio International Stereo Exhibition

Closing: June 1, 2016

PSA Recognition Stereographers are invited to submit their work to our International Exhibition.  Judges will be looking for original and artistic interpretations in a variety of  subject matter. Consideration will be given also to technical aspects such as exposure, alignment and placement of the stereo window.

Image Format

Only electronic images are accepted.  Each entrant may submit up to four (4) images, each image being in one parallel view JPEG file that is no more than 1080 pixels tall or no more than 2x1920 pixels wide.   (This is a change from previous years. You do not need to add black border to bring the images to the exactly 2x1920x1080 size, or projectors will resize your images.)

Maximum file size of each image pair should not exceed 2.0 MB, total not to exceed 8MB.

Many of our club members use StereoPhoto Maker to resize the images.  Details are here: http://www.drt3d.com/ohio3d/DigitalGuidelines2.htm (ignore the naming part - follow the naming convention below.)

For images not conforming to the above dimensions, the Exhibition Chairman reserves the right to adjust the overall stereo pair dimensions to accommodate the equipment used for the judging session without cropping or otherwise altering the image aspect ratio and image contents.

Please name each image as follows:

Lastname_Firstname_Image Title_01.jpg

(Example: Themelis_George_This is the Title_01.jpg)

Use 01, 02, 03, 04 for the 4 images in the order you would like them judged. Spaces and dashes may be used in the image title but no special characters such as commas, brackets, periods, etc. If you have any questions regarding this format, please contact the Exhibition Chairman.

Image Submittal Method

All 4 entries may be attached to an E-mail and sent to: Ohio3D@gmail.com

Please include “Ohio Exhibition” in the message subject line. Include the following information in the body of the message:

If you have a problem, use this E-mail address as an alternative: jay@geewitz.com

Image Eligibility

Entries previously accepted in an Ohio Stereo Photographic Exhibition are not eligible.

The exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.

Entries are limited to not more than 4 images per section, category, or class. An entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging in that section.

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own (aliases are not permitted). The entrant permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website. Note: Entrants who indicate that their images may not be reproduced or used “will not be eligible for awards” or inclusion in audio-visuals of the exhibition “and could be subject to disqualification” by the exhibition sponsors.

The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker. Artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates subject to divisional restrictions. All final work must be on photographic film, or on electronic file, or on photographic or electronic print material, mounting excepted.

Images may be altered, either digitally or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates subject to Nature, Photo Travel and Photojournalism divisional restrictions.

Entry Fee The entry fee is USD $10, to be paid using Paypal to drt-3d@live.com

Checks or currency may also be used for payment, but must be in US dollars.  Currency will be accepted at entrant's risk.  Make checks payable to George Themelis. Please mail checks or cash payments to the Exhibition Chairman (see address below.)
